Monthly Beauty Buys

I'm excited to share with you guys another Monthly Beauty Buys post! I've been slowly expanding my horizons and taking chances on products that I wouldn't normally purchase. I'm a drug store beauty girl at heart so you'll always find at least one drug store buy in each of my posts (can't help it)! This month I was on the hunt for an inexpensive highlighter and some skin care products. Read more for my honest feedback on these products!

E.L.F Illuminating Palette

This illuminating palette from E.L.F. is surprisingly good! It's not super pigmented as other highlighters that I've tried, but for an everyday shimmer it does the trick! I combine all of the colors and dust the highlighter on the bridge of my nose and on the high points of my cheekbones for extra glow!

NYX Butter Gloss in Creme Brûlée

This lip gloss from NYX isn't a new buy for me. I actually purchased it recently because I ran out of my last tube! Creme Brulee is hands down my favorite gloss color out of every brand I've ever tried! It's the perfect pink / nude and I haven't strayed away from it since the first time I bought it!

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion

Mario Bedescu has been all over my Instagram feed lately. So of course when Ulta put some of their products near the checkout aisle I gave in and bought! My skin has been super out of wack lately so I wanted to try a new acne solution to get my blemishes under control. I didn't dislike this product, but I definitely have used other brands that are much stronger. The smell is a bit overwhelming for my liking too!

Mario Badescu Facial Spray

Again, I got suckered into buying another Mario Bedescu product due to Ulta's tempting product displays near the checkout aisle. This one didn't set me back too much (only cost $7) and I really love it! The spray is super refreshing and has a light scent of rose. I spray it right after I put my makeup on to set it and sometimes at night after I finish my skincare routine!
