How To Wear Vintage
How do you wear vintage? I get this question so often which is one of the main reason why I started this blog. It's not something that comes naturally to everyone because it requires you to think boldly outside of the box and use your imagination. Many of us have a hard time visualizing ourselves looking anything other than a character that walked off a Downton Abbey set. But just like trying any fashion trend, once you get the hang of it you'll be a pro in no time! So each week I want to share with you my personal tips and tricks that have helped me make my vintage pieces look more chic and less dated.
Tip No. 1: Invest in a well fitted blazer.
A well fitted white blazer took this vintage metallic tunic from 1970 to 2014 in zero seconds. Without adding any other elements to the tunic it's gorgeous, but I couldn't help but feel dated because of how the sleeves are constructed. This is the case for a majority of the vintage dresses and blouses that I own. So throwing on a season appropriate and well fitted blazer was a the perfect no fuss solution! Pretty easy right? I finished off the look with a vintage white cross body, ray-bans, some jewels and was ready to go!
